Legislative Agricultural Chairs VII
January 23-25 | San Diego, California
According to the evaluations, the 2008 meeting was another roaring success. Legislators met early and discussed state dairy policy, saw biotechnology and beer production in action and worked with their counterparts in 46 states, U.S. territories and 6 Canadian provinces. The LAC meeting truly is a unique opportunity to develop understanding and unity among state officials as they discuss agricultural and rural issues. Attendees this year also changed the by-laws to allow the consideration and acceptance of resolutions, passing two resolutions in support of rural development and American agriculture.
Each program focuses on critical topics in agriculture and rural development that are facing state officials.
The 2009 Legislative Ag Chairs Summit attendees passed seven resolutions on a variety of agriculture issues. To view the resolutions click here.
